Massimo Pugnali
I am a senior Aerospace executive with e true and unique international background and a comprehensive understanding of different business domains – both Civil and Military – for extremely diversified markets.
During my career I have accrued substantial field experience developing business relationships and closing deals with international partners at the highest decision-making levels, and launching start-up operations in all Continents.
I am keenly interested in global issues and sustainable development with all political, economic, social and environmental implications thereof. Conscious of the complexities of doing business internationally and the risks associated with it, I have joined as founding partner an Italian Think-Tank, TAB (Team for the risk Analysis of Businesses). TAB keeps under systematic review and analysis the overall risk factors, situations, and areas of concern at global level, in order to highlight advantages and disadvantages of doing business in certain regions of the world.
The new mission I have given to myself is to support the many advanced Small- to Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) in the Aerospace domain, in their quest to develop their business internationally.
Given the size of the market, the highly competitive environment, the level of technological sofistication, and its continued pursue of excellence, I have decided to form MXP Aerospace LLC in the USA, and particularly in Philadelphia (PA), a City which I consider my second home.
Professional background
Before creating MXP Aerospace LLC, during 2015 I have been in charge of Business Development in North & South America for ASE S.p.A., an Italian leading edge supplier of Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Systems for the Aerospace Industry. A role which I continue to stick to.
My previous 21 years have been absorbed by the continuous challenges and opportunities offered by working in one of the largest and diversified multinational groups, active predominantly in Aerospace & Defense: Finmeccanica. Set aside the last 4 years, which I spent at the corporate headquarters in Rome, I worked 17 exciting years at the semi-independent helicopter business of the group. First it was historic Agusta S.p.A., which then evolved into AgustaWestland – an undisputed worldwide leader – and now is the helicopter division of Finmeccanica. I lived and worked based in Argentina, Italy and the United States and then my responsibilities grew to cover the entire world.
